It's hard to believe that it's almost the end of January. We had a baby shower for Baby Jackson this past week end. It was good to see friends that we haven't seen in a while and catch up some. It was also great to celebrate something that has been a long time in coming. It seems like it does. Since October the months seemed to go by slow but, looking back, they have went fast. Zjani is looking so cute with her tummy and baby Jackson is getting a workout every day as he loves doing his laps every day.
Elisha and Harrison were able to come up for the week end. It was good to have them here. We miss Jason but work makes that hard to come when he wants to. We have a good time with Harrison and seeing what he is doing now. He definately has won our hearts.
We are back to shoveling the snow. Even if its for a inch at a time. We'll take that.

HAPPY 2010!

It's here and hard to believe that its 2010. We had a few surprises and things for our family last month after we had posted our blog.

He went rabbit hunting (saw 2), took Dawn indoor skydiving. Yup, liked it and can't wait to go again. Its just enough off the ground that I could survive if I caught a gust of wind and it thrust me upward. He made us chicken tacos. They were the best and we couldn't get enough of them.

We had a great Christmas and it was nice having family members here when they could. As they are growing and getting families, this is a luxury for us. Harrison had fun playing in the wrapping paper and chewing on the cardboard of his gifts. Next year is going to be interesting. He was taking off the ornaments of our tree from the bottom so I know he'll be busy next year.

During the Christmas break Tim had the week off so we were able to get caught up on the movies that came out. Loved the buttered popcorn. I could make a meal out of that as long as its layered in butter. I know that going back to the gym will come soon enough but oh, what fun it is to eat popcorn.

Tim celebrated his 53 birthday. Mr. Magna is getting older. He's getting closer to 60 and it'll be time for another party for him.

Our ducks (The Girls) will be leaving our yard in the next couple weeks. We've found them a great location with lots of water and other ducks for them to socialize with. It was nice having them for the year but they are taking a toll on our yard and the poop is not fun when walking on the lawn. They are funny little ducks. They keep themselves entertained and love eating bread but without the crust. We'll see what pet we'll get after that. Nothing for a LONG time.

Christian is back in school. Halleluiah. Now he can get to bed at a decent time and on a schedule. He is doing really well in school and seems to have the organization skllls in order for him to get things handed in on time and not his locker getting the credit for the assignments.

Zjani and Jer's little guy will be coming sometime in the next month or so. He's going to have lots of people vying for his attention and taking numbers to hold him.

Enjoy reading and more to come...

2009 Christmas Letter

Christian, Shea, Dawn, Tim
in Chicago

Well, we have come to the 21st century and now we’re ready for a BLOG site. So here it goes from our family to yours. We are currently working on the kinks on this so we refer to our tech support often (Zjani). We thought this way you can check on us during the year to see what we are up to and see recent photos of us all. These days, it’s hard to get everyone together at the same time.
Tim and Dawn: We had the chance to go to Disneyland for Spring Break and then Knott’s Berry Farm. We had the chance to see the Angels and Cubs play baseball this year. We went to Chicago for a few days to spend time with Shea. We walked the city and saw lots of sites. It was on the week end that had rain and was cold. We were able to have Tim’s sister Gina be our tour guide for a couple days. That helped so much and was able to see her also. We’ve been making more trips to see Elisha/Jason’s little boy Harrison. He is so cute and he loves the attention. We were so sad to have our grandson Levi leave so soon after his birth. We were still numb from having Savanna go and then have her brother join her. One day we’ll find out what the plan in this is but right now we have to face forward and try to keep the tears that fall from soaking us. Tim is still working for Sun Products. We appreciate him having a job and it gives Dawn the opportunity in staying home to go and do for the kids when needed. Dawn was able to go and see her sister in Holland and see her new nephew. It had been the coldest in 15 years and they were skating on the canals. What a great site. We just got back from seeing her sister’s family in New Mexico. Everybody’s family is growing and moving on in their lives.

Elisha & Jason: They have had a great year. Their first baby was born May 25. He weighed 10 lbs and a week late. Harrison August is an “absolute joy” -his mother states. He has already grown 2 teeth and makes everyone happier by smiling, laughing, and kissing. He has even picked up some sign language. They are in St. George with Jason and Elisha still attending Dixie State College and working. They’ve enjoyed family trips this year, especially visiting Shea in November in Georgia.

Zjani & Jer: We have definitely had our fair share of hard times this past year. We were excited to be expecting baby #2. Our little Levi was born February 7. He was premature and returned to heaven shortly after his birth. We found ourselves having to say goodbye only 9 months after we had to say goodbye to our little Savanna. We know our little angels watch over us. We miss them and think about them every day. We feel so blessed to have so much love and support from our family and friends…some days that is all that gets us through the day. It is definitely during the hard times in life that you know who your true family and friends are. We are expecting a baby boy in March. It is exciting for us and terrifying at the same time. Zjani had to quit her job at the surgery center to be put on bed rest for 5 months. She has been on bed rest since October and is keeping busy ---Christmas cards were ready to be mailed out in October! Jer is still working for Brinks and loves his job. He keeps busy going out fishing or finding someone to talk about guns with! We sold our condo in the fall and moved in with Zjani’s parents in Kaysville for a while. It worked out good with Zjani being on bed rest. They do so much for us and we are so grateful for their help.

Shea:. He still is in the army and living outside of Savannah, Georgia. He has a dog named Sadie that keeps him company. He came home for Christmas last year and then he came for Levi’s funeral. It was good to have him here. He nearly froze to death in Chicago with us. He’s not use to the cold and it took him a few days to thaw out. Plus his parents about wore him out with all the walking.

Christian: He wanted us to tell you that he still lives at home. He’s a sophomore at Davis High School. He is doing really well in school. He obtained his learners driving permit so he’s out on the roads. Just warning you…His naturally curly hair has come in full steam so not much he has to do with it just fluff and go. He decided that the drums were not for him. We was enjoying the sets he was doing. His mom had dreams of him being in Keith Urban’s band. He keeps us busy and going when we’re ready for a nap.

Now you’ve heard what we’ve been up to and caught up to speed. We wish you all a Merry Christmas. Keep checking on this site during the next year and drop us a note whenever you feel inspired. Love, Dawn, Tim
